Fifteen short stories by Quim Monzó provide Ventura Pons with the material for a highly enjoyable comedy about the multitude of feelings that travel through the human heart and mind, featuring a strong cast of leading figures from Catalan cinema and theatre.
All the stories are independent from one another, yet they revolve around a common theme: the absurdity and contradictions of human relationships. Universal subjects such as love, desire, infidelity, disappointment, and lack of communication are presented with irony and sardonic humour, aiming to build an acid portrait of Catalan society at the end of the 20th century.
